THE POSITION
The Production Associate (Temporary) will focus on the filling and co-packing of finished goods into primary and secondary packaging for shipment to clients.. Primary responsibilities include preparation of materials for production, general use of production equipment and recording of production data as outlined by standard operating procedures and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) requirements.
COMPENSATION: $13/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Co Packing and Labeling of consumer packaged goods to include tinctures, gummies, tablets, EasySnaps, and aerosols.
- Follow all policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control
- Recognize and report any production safety issues
- Basic troubleshooting of equipment
- Work together with supervisor to maintain production timeline
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Read and follow standard operating procedures and department protocols
- Additional tasks as assigned by management
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- High degree of attention to detail and self-directed
- Effectively manage time by balancing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills
- Flexibility to work days/evenings/weekends depending on production schedules
- Work effectively and cooperatively with others
- Must be able to meet production standards in a fast paced work environment by performing tasks quickly and efficiently
- Understanding of proper and safe handling of ingestible consumer packaged goods
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Examples of relevant experience include Production / Assembly Line, Receiving, Fulfillment, Material Planning, Warehousing, Inventory Management, and Quality Control.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- This is a temporary position based out of Roxboro, NC or Raleigh/Durham, NC.
- Flexibility to work days/evenings/weekends depending on production schedules
- Background and reference checks required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 25 pounds
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time (4-6 hours) with frequent kneeling and
bending. - Working in limited climate-controlled facilities and experience extreme heat or cold
- Work with fumes, plants, airborne particles and chemicals
