Who is Open Book Extracts (OBX)?
In early 2019, our founders were exploring the CBD market to find a processor and co-manufacturing partner to support the launch of their own CBD brand. After testing the products that existed on the market, they found that there were no CBD processors or manufacturers that stood up to their standards.
They asked questions. Where does the hemp in this product come from? How are your active ingredients tested? Where and how do you process and formulate your products? With less than satisfactory answers from the processors and manufacturers in the marketplace, they set out to build the solution.
Open Book Extracts was founded to be the “true north” in the developing hemp and CBD industry. We felt the best way to support our true north orientation was to have ownership of the entire supply chain from seed to sale. Therefore, OBX is a farmer, processor, and manufacturer of premium hemp extract and CBD products. We offer the following services:
- Bulk ingredient hemp-derived products for companies interested in high quality ingredients for your own formulations
- White label partnership opportunities for companies interested in providing high quality CBD skus to their end consumers
- Private label capabilities for organizations interested in formulating unique blends of CBD products for your target market(s)

We want to enable a more transparent viewpoint into our industry by providing clarity to end consumers, clients & partners, and the general public on topics ranging from common questions to more complex matters.
