Refund policy

1. Return Eligibility

Products may be eligible for return if they do not meet specified quality or cannabinoid concentration requirements. The cannabinoid concentration (measured as a percentage of mass) shall be no less than 90% and no more than 120% of the stated numeric cannabinoid concentration for the Product agreed to in the Purchase Order, and the Product will be deemed compliant despite any such variance (“Concentration Variance”). To be eligible for a credit, refund, or reimbursement, you must give Open Book Extracts written notice within 15 days after shipment date if Products you receive fall outside of the Concentration Variance or otherwise do not conform with material specifications, with such notice accompanied by documentation outlining the non-compliance issue. Failure to give such timely notice will preclude you from later seeking or claiming a credit, refund, or reimbursement for such Products. In the event that you give timely notice, Open Book Extracts will have the opportunity to retest the Products to demonstrate that the Products are within the Concentration Variance prior to granting a credit, refund, or reimbursement. A credit, refund, or reimbursement will only be given if the non-compliant products are returned by you to Open Book Extracts.

2. Non-Returnable Products

  • Custom formulations, special-order products, and bulk cannabinoids that have been altered from their original state are not eligible for return.
  • Final sale items or products damaged after delivery are also non-returnable.

3. Return Process

To initiate a return, contact our customer service team at info@openbookextracts.com for return authorization. Once authorized, return the product in its original packaging, with any supporting documentation related to the non-compliance.

If the return of a reportedly non-compliant product is authorized, we will provide a shipping label for the return. Otherwise, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

4. Credits and Refunds

Upon receipt and confirmation of non-compliance, we will issue a credit to your account for future purchases. Credits are the primary form of compensation for returned products. Refunds may be issued at the company’s discretion, based on case-specific considerations.

Credits will reflect the total purchase price of the product, minus any applicable fees.

5. Restocking and Service Charges

For products that meet specifications but are returned at the customer’s request, a 20% restocking fee will apply. This fee will be deducted from the credited amount.

Additional fees may apply for repeated returns that significantly impact order volume or frequency.

6. Exchanges

Exchanges are only available if the original product was defective or incorrect. To arrange an exchange, please contact our support team with relevant documentation.

7. Limitations and Liabilities

  • Credits are non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and do not expire.
  • The company reserves the right to refuse returns or issue partial credits if the product shows signs of tampering, improper handling, or misuse.
