Cannabinoids are proliferating in beauty products, and it’s poised to take your skin-care routine to a higher level. That’s because the star ingredients, known for their reputed stress-reducing and pain-relieving (among many others) benefits in the wellness space, have incredible prowess when it comes to topical, skin-boosting use.
“For 5,000 years, cannabis has been helping everyone,” says Cindy Capobianco, co-founder of Lord Jones, a brand that makes CBD-laced edibles and body lotion. “Before 1937, when it was prohibited, there was a cannabis elixir on every shelf. It reduces inflammation and pain in a way I’ve never seen anything work.”

Validcare’s Clincial Study Reports Preliminary Results of CBD Liver Safety
Validcare Virtual Study (TM) Platform began capturing real world evidence on the effects of CBD to support the FDA’s request for science-based data and to help lawmakers determine a safe and effective regulatory path forward for CBD.
Alongside 13 prominent brands in the industry, investigators tested the potential liver effects in healthy adults ingesting either full/broad spectrum hemp derived CBD or CBD isolate. NY marijuana law makes sweeping changes to hemp rules, too
New York’s new marijuana law includes a dramatic overhaul of how the state’s hemp industry is regulated. The law signed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo last week makes a first-in-the-nation attempt to regulate hemp operators working with flower and cannabinoid products the same way the state oversees marijuana operators, designating a new category for “cannabinoid hemp” that will be governed by a new Office of Cannabis Management.

The SAFE Banking Act would ensure that financial institutions could take on cannabis business clients without facing federal penalties.
